We loved our stay at the cottage. The location was ideal - within walking distance of shops and restaurants, which meant we didn't need to rent a car. The cottage was clean, comfortable and check-in was seamless. I would definitely stay again.
Cozy cabin, great location
Enjoyed immensely staying at the Cabins on Monastery. The cabin was clean, comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped...such a treat. In addition they are just a few steps from the center of town and the local bus transit center. All of which is great for those of us without an automobile. The only downside is the size of the bathroom which is just big enough for the shower and toilet. Anyone very tall, overweight or with a disability may have trouble maneuvering within the space. Otherwise, a great place to stay.
I enjoyed my stay in the cottage very much. It was perfect for my needs. Everything was clean and comfortable and eye appealing, although the mattress on the trundle bed was a bit more comfortable than the mattress on the top bed. I loved being so close to town and every major event that went on in the city. There was no need for a car. I needed, for cleaning purposes, a different cleaning cloth than the sponge that I used in the kitchen. I also bought a couple of dish towels to use that I brought home with me, but were needed there.Tess was very supportive and accommodating. I would definitely choose to stay with you again. Thanks so much,Bette
Delighful little cottage for my 4 night stay in Sitka. Great location, easy walk to Natl Park, raltor center, harbor, bishops house where I had a private tour with great young interp ranger, harbor, downtown. Perfect spot for solo independent traveler. For other guests recommend Ludvigs for superior dinner but dont try with out reservation. Attended evening concert and it was comfortable walking home after dark. Small kitchen meant I treated myself to Ludvigs and a lunch out but did some meals in...grocery store is close by. Recommend this one.Betty
We loved the cottages. They were cute, quiet, comfortable and accessible to town on foot.
Perfect for one
The unit was exceptionally clean upon arrival. These are one room cottages with a kitchenette and bathroom, towels and bed linens supplied. I fouond it quite efficient for one person, would be crowded for two. Not listed in any of the descriptions is that there is no sink in the bathroom so all those duties have to be done at the kitchen sink. A small mirror is provided but with a window above the kitchen sink there is no place to put it. Not a deal breaker for a man but may not be suitable for a woman. Also the under counter refrigerator kept icing up in the freezer section rendering the freezer unusable. I would return with some assurance that the refridgerator had been fixed.
