Another Wonderful Stay in Sitka!
We had another wonderful stay in the Franklin Building, this year in #6. It was very comfortable and clean. Thanks to Sharon for her help in arranging our stay. We hope to come back again.Barbara and KarlMascoutah IL
The Woods are wonderful landlords and Apartment 6 was perfect! With the window in the bedroom plus great views in both directions from the living room of the corner unit, and the great easy chair with footrest in the living room, great TV, and ok wifi I enjoyed my stay even more than last year in unit 5. In fact I told the Woods I plan to rent for a week next year. I like the reduced weekly rate, plus the the 10% return customer discount. As a condo owner myself in St. Croix (I live year round in my unit, but most in my complex are rented out most of the year, I pay for weekly housekeeping by the housekeepers that clean the rental units. Looking at unit 6 from the perspective of such a housekeeper, just a few helpful hints: just 2 washcloths, comforter in master bedroom could be replaced, and a chair in that room. On the other hand, they would be amazed by the generosity of the owners in terms of providing so much in the bathroom and kitchen to make the place like home from day one.
Sitka in October
We enjoyed our stay in Sitka. We never found a guest book there to sign. The apartment had everything we needed. The heat was a little tricky for my Engineer husband to figure out. Would also be nice if there was heat in the bathroom. The view was gorgeous. Thank you for the hospitality. Barb & Bill Lindberg
They were much better than staying in any hotels in Sitka.
All my guest enjoyed their stays in the above apts. They were much better than staying in any hotels in Sitka. Thank you very much. I also enjoyed meeting the owner of the apts. very much.carol
The view from this apartment was fantastic!
The view from this apartment is fantastic...an ever changing panorama of mountains and sea, islands and boats and planes. It is very roomy with lots of storage and all the equipment needed. It will help when the bathroom is updated, but that is a minor quibble. The central location makes it easy to access the library, shops, concerts and restaurants as well as the airport. We had great weather and a wonderful stay in Sitka.
Our apartment was wonderful.
Our apartment was wonderful. It was clean and we had an amazing view. Everything was in working order. We did have some trouble with traffic noise as we are not used to it where we live but that was not your fault.
DT Franklin 6 has an incredible view!!
The Apt was clean and comfortable, but a bit noisy, as it faces Douglas Street (one of downtown Sitka's main streets). The location is perfect, however. Easy walking distance to Stores, local buses, restaurants, etc.Keith...
