Thimbleberry Bay House
What sets Thimbleberry Bay House apart, is the property's perfect blend of location, seclusion, and convenience. Set on 4 acres, the log home is surrounded by forest where eagles like to glide between the trees at breathtaking speed and mountain backed waterfront. On the waterfront side, the home has an unobstructed view of whales, sea otters and sea lions that frequent the area.
The open plan of the home is ideal for entertaining and social gatherings, while also intimate enough for a couple wanting a romantic trip away. On the main level is the dining room, living room, kitchen and master bedroom.
An elegant yellow cedar bar separates the living and dining area from the fully equipped kitchen. For added convenience, staples including olive oil, flour, sugar and a variety of spices are provided to make you feel more at home during your stay.
The en-suite master bedroom has a king bed that can be set up as two extra long twins on request and a day bed that is comfortable for sleeping or just relaxing and reading a book. In addition to the antique chestnut chest of drawers, the walk-in closet provides ample storage for clothing and luggage.
A floating staircase leads to the open loft bedroom where there are two queen size beds primarily placed to take in the panoramic view of the bay. For additional guests, there is a third bedroom with a queen and a twin bed and another twin bed located in the loft alcove
The large BBQ is located on the covered porch next to the front door, to give easy access to the dining room and kitchen. Under the overhang of the house is the hot tub where you can count whale spouts while you soak. There are several trail options for exploring the property and the home’s private beach, where you can launch one of the provided kayaks and explore the bay.
